Cerberus

**Viktor Melkof Ulfr was born before the great wars had commenced. He was raised in a city that filled itself with those of the Reflechir clan hence from an early childhood his upbringing involved various contacts and preachings about peace and discovery of the inner spirit.

Viktor was trained in the arts of the Spriten Staff Technique and he excelled in this endeavour. He became a local virtuoso with the Staff and often engaged in competitions that took place. Even though he had won his share of tournaments he was certainly not the best in the city for there were others who could outmatch him but less in number nevertheless.

Soon as the wars began many disciples had made up their minds to venture into the bigger cities and planets in order to fight for peace.

Viktor however was met with conflicting thoughts... in the end he couldn't decide wether to fight or not. He left his city to seek answers and clear his confusions.

But the current hostility that these wars seemed to enact on everything had not made an easy journey for him. Eventually he had no choice but to do battle.

He even changed his name because he felt that Viktor Melkof Ulfr was someone who he left behind in the city a long time ago. So he called himself Cerberus.

Cerberus then took part in the great Karastroth war and played a vital role in fighting off the dictators and the mighty Nicodemus himself. Soon afterwards Cerberus decided to continue his quest for enlightenment.

But chaos did not cease with the end of the Karastroth as more calamities ensued.

Cerberus continued to fight but eventually grew weary of the thought that he was fighting for peace.

Finally regardless of what destruction flowed throughout lands and galaxies Cerberus finally set course on a quest that began long ago.

On his journeys he met many wise and powerful figures. Many of them unknown to the worlds but he learned a great deal of things from them. He gained knowledge about some mystics, combat, alchemy, philosophy and inner peace. Some of these figures he met were Snow Jaye, Choronach, Bishamon, Geira Lazares and so on...

One day he sat atop a mountain and entered a deep state of mystical meditation. His entire person seemed to be frozen in time and for a long time he was truly at peace.

The years passed by and his surrondings changed... eventually the wars stopped.

The years however did not seem to affect Cerberus's health or appearance. It was as if his meditation had been preserving him.

One day he awakened to this new world around him and the countless changes that had occured. He felt a rush of excitement at the prospect of discovering new things and began a new journey. He had attained answers and peace and was no more confused...

Now Cerberus would journey wherever life took him and wondered what his destiny had in store for him.**

New character I came up with... Cerberus. I'd always loved Kilik's Bo Staff technique in the Soul Calibur series so I wanted to make a character who wielded a staff and could do some amazing things with it .

So this took me quite a while... was actually really hard to work with this perspective. This is actually my second attempt at this drawing... the first one I wasn't happy with at all... but this one I was finally satisfied with after struggling quite a bit.

The process I followed for this drawing was different from what I usually do. To get this perspective somewhat right I drew a rough outline and highlighted it with a marker. Then I used that as a reference and made the final.
